R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Don and Mildred Nesbett of Longview commemorated a 
special milestone in their lives on May 28, 2005, when they 
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, The couple observed this joyous occasion with a 
Hawaiian cruise and a trip to Simi Valley, California; following 
their return, they were treated by their children and grandchildren 
to a golden gala at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, where more 
than 170 family members and close friends, including five members 
of the original wedding party, joined in the festivities, which 
were followed the next day by a brunch held at the couple's home; 
and
	WHEREAS, Congregants of Wesley-McCabe United Methodist 
Church, Mr. and Mrs. Nesbett have been valued members of the 
Longview community since 1964; for half a century, they have shared 
a lasting bond of love and mutual respect, and they remain a source 
of inspiration to all who are privileged to know them; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Don and 
Mildred Nesbett on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to 
them best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Nesbetts as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
