	Amend Amendment No. 17 by Gattis to CSSB 909 (House Committee 
Printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered item to 
the amendment and renumbering existing items of the amendment 
accordingly:
	(  ) Section 16, Article 42.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, 
is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
	(f) In lieu of requiring a defendant to work a specified 
number of hours at a community service project or projects under 
Subsection (a), the judge may order a defendant to make a specified 
donation to a nonprofit food bank or food pantry in the community in 
which the defendant resides.
