AN ACT
|

relating to a claim for reimbursement in a suit to dissolve a |
|
|
marriage. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 3.408, Family Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The party seeking an offset to a claim for reimbursement |
|
|
has the burden of proof with respect to the offset. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to a suit for dissolution of a marriage pending before a trial court |
|
|
on or filed on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
|
