Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in the City Hall at McAllen, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Chairman Carona recognized Senator Hinojosa in attendance.

 

The Committee received invited testimony related to bridges, urban crime laboratories and state agency expenditures on media activities.  Witnesses are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 11:25 a.m. Senator Carona moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
