SB867 by Deuell (Relating to testing accommodations for a person with dyslexia taking a licensing examination administered by a state agency.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Education Code to require state agencies administering licensing examinations to make reasonable accommodations to an examinee diagnosed as having dyslexia. State agencies would be required to adopt rules establishing the eligibility criteria for applicable examinees. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
