Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 28, 2011, and receiving permission on April 28, 2011 to meet while the house is in session, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 5:21 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Deshotel; Bohac; Garza; Miller, Sid; Quintanilla; Solomons; and Workman.

 

A quorum was present.


HB 2611

 

Representative Workman moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Miller, Sid moved to reconsider the vote by which the substitute to HB 2611 was adopted.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

 

Representative Miller, Sid offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Workman moved that HB 2611, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
