Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2011, and permission being granted to meet while the house was in session at 4:30p.m., at the Agricultural Museum, 1W.14, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting to consider S.B.1234, which was was called to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 4:36 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Dutton; Alvarado; Callegari; Gutierrez; King, Phil; Mallory Caraway; Parker; and Paxton.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1234.

 

Representative Paxton moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Alvarado moved that SB 1234, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Dutton; Alvarado; Callegari; Gutierrez; King, Phil; Mallory Caraway; Parker; Paxton (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Simpson (1).

 

At 4:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
