A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the provision of an election deadline calendar to |
|
|
authorities holding elections. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 31.004, Election Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The secretary of state shall provide, electronically or |
|
|
by mail, to each authority ordering an election a calendar that |
|
|
includes all of the election-related deadlines applicable to that |
|
|
authority. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
