Pursuant to a notice posted on March 6, 2015, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Otto, at 7:39 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Otto; Turner, Sylvester; Ashby; Bell; Bonnen, Greg; Burkett; Capriglione; Davis, Sarah; Giddings; Gonzales, Larry; Howard; Hughes; Koop; Longoria; McClendon; Miller, Rick; Muņoz, Jr.; Phelan; Price; Raney; Rodriguez, Justin; Sheffield; VanDeaver; and Walle.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

Representative Thompson, Ed was in attendance.

 

Representative Faircloth was in attendance.

The Chair laid out the rider recommendations for Articles I, IV and V.

 

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

Representative Turner moved to adopt the rider recommendations by the subcommittee and adopt the Article XI rider packet for Articles I, IV and V.

The motion was adopted without objection. 

The Chair laid out the rider recommendations for Articles VI, VII and VIII.

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

Representative Gonzales moved to adopt the rider recommendations by the subcommittee and adopt the Article XI rider packet for Articles VI, VII and VIII.

The motion was adopted without objection. 

The Chair laid out the rider recommendations for Article III.

Representative Ashby moved to adopt the rider recommendations by the subcommittee and adopt the Article XI rider packet for Article III.

The motion was adopted without objection. 

The Chair laid out the rider recommendations for Article II.

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

Representative Price moved to adopt the rider recommendations by the subcommittee and adopt the Article XI rider packet for Article II.
