Pursuant to a notice posted on July 5, 2016, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Herrero, at 1:14 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Herrero; Moody; Canales; Hunter; Leach; Shaheen; and Simpson.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The Chair delivered opening remarks and opened up public discussion for the posted agenda.

 

Interim Charge 1

 

The chair brought up interim charge 1, relating to GPS monitoring in cases involving family violence, as well as intervention and prevention programs aimed at eliminating family violence.

At 5:56 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
