Pursuant to a notice posted on March 10, 2016, the House Committee on General Investigating & Ethics met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kuempel, at 10:01 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Kuempel; Collier; Davis, Sarah; Hunter; and Turner, Chris.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The committee met to address the following interim charge:

 

Study the contracting practices at major state agencies to determine if additional reforms are needed to maintain public confidence and trust in the expenditure of state funds.
