Pursuant to a notice posted on May 2, 2016, the House Committee on Pensions met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Flynn, at 9:11 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Flynn; Alonzo; Hernandez; Klick; Paul; Rodriguez, Justin; and Stephenson.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

Representative Jim Murphy and Senator Joan Huffman were present at hearing.

 

The committee convened to hear testimony on charge 4.

 

4: Interim Charge 4: Examine the fiscal and policy impacts of structural reforms that would increase state public pension plans' ability to achieve and maintain actuarial soundness. Evaluate the feasibility, costs, and benefits of utilizing one-time funding increases to reduce or eliminate unfunded liabilities.

At 12:40 PM., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
