Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14, 2015, and permission granted on May 14, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 4:46 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Nevárez; Burns; Dale; Johnson; Metcalf; Moody; White, Molly; and Wray.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 11

 

The chair laid out SB 11 as pending business.

 

Representative Burns moved that SB 11, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Burns; Dale; Metcalf; White, Molly; Wray (6).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Nevárez; Johnson; Moody (3).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        None (0).

 

At 4:48 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
