Pursuant to a notice posted on November 21, 2016, the House Committee on Transportation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 9:14 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pickett; Burkett; Davis, Yvonne; Fletcher; Israel; Minjarez; and Simmons.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

 

 

The Committee heard testimony on Transportation safety issues, including fatalities on state highways and roadways and distracted driving.

 

(Representative Raymond now present.)

 

The Committee heard testimony on Sunset from the Texas Department of Transportation.

 

The Committee heard testimony on Autonomous Vehicles.

 

At 12:23 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
