Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 8, 2015, and permission granted on May 8, 2015, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Alvarado, at 2:41 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Alvarado; Anderson, Rodney; Bernal; Schaefer; and White, Molly.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 


 

 

 

HB 2426

 

The chair laid out HB 2426 as pending business.

 

Representative Anderson, Rodney offered a complete committee substitute.

 

(Representative Elkins now present.)

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Bernal moved that HB 2426, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Alvarado; Anderson, Rodney; Bernal; Elkins (4).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Schaefer; White, Molly (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

The chair laid out SB 267.

 

Representative Schaefer moved that SB 267, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           Representatives Alvarado; Bernal (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).
