The chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM. The following business was transacted:
Chairman Fraser laid out the proposed Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee rules for the 84th Legislature and made opening comments.
Chairman Fraser called invited witness, Donna Nelson, Chairman, Public Utility Commission of Texas to testify before the committee.
At 9:21 AM the roll was called. A quorum was present. Senator Estes moved adoption of the Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
Invited testimony continued with the following witnesses:
Bryan Shaw, Chairman, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
Christi Craddick, Chairman, Railroad Commission of Texas
Trip Doggett, President and CEO, Electric Reliability Council of Texas
Carlos Rubinstein, Chairman, Texas Water Development Board
There being no further business, at 10:39 AM Senator Fraser moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
