Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Lois Kolkhorst arrived after the roll was called at 1:32 PM. 

 

Senator Schwertner made opening remarks.

 

Senator Kolkhorst moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered. 

 

Senator Schwertner called invited testimony to give an overview of each major health and human services agency.  See attached witness list.

Senator Schwertner closed invited testimony.

 

There being no further business, at 4:54 PM Senator Schwertner moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
