Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Texas Ports, Select was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 11:35 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Creighton laid out the committee rules. Senator Kolkhorst moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Creighton made opening remarks and introduced committee staff. The Chair recognized committee members to make opening statements.

 

The committee heard invited testimony. Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 2:23 PM Senator Taylor moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
