Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 1, 2017, and permission granted on May 1, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Anchia, at 3:14 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Anchia; Ortega; Parker; Shaheen; and White.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair directed that the April 24, 2017 minutes for the House Committee on International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

 

 

HCR 88

 

The chair laid out HCR 88.

 

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to explain HCR 88.

 

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to close on HCR 88.

 

Representative Ortega moved that HCR 88, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Anchia; Keough; Ortega; Parker; Shaheen; White (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                       Representative Dukes (1).

The chair laid out HCR 103 as pending business.

 

Representative Anchia offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Anchia to explain HCR 103.

 

The chair recognized Representative Anchia to close on HCR 103.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative White moved that HCR 103, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
