Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 13, 2017, and permission granted on March 13, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 2:47 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Bonnen, Greg; Canales; Clardy; Craddick; Guerra; King, Phil; Lambert; Landgraf; Schubert; and Walle.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

HB 1818

 

The chair laid out HB 1818 as pending business. The chair offered a complete committee substitute. The chair recognized Representative Gonzales, Larry to explain the substitute.

 

The substitute was adopted without objection.  Representative Canales offered an amendment to the committee substitute. The amendment was adopted without objection. The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into a committee substitute.

The committee substitute, was adopted by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Darby; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Bonnen, Greg; Canales; Clardy; Craddick; Guerra; King, Phil; Lambert; Landgraf; Schubert; Walle (12).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

Representative Clardy moved that HB 1818, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
