Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2017, and permission granted on May 2, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Raymond, at 5:05 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Raymond; Frank; Keough; Klick; Minjarez; Rose; Swanson; and Wu.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

HB 3420

 

The chair laid out HB 3420 as pending business.

 

Representative Swanson moved that HB 3420, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out HB 3555 as pending business.

 

Representative Minjarez offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Frank moved that HB 3555, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
