Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2017, and permission granted on May 9, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Frullo, at 6:00 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Frullo; Faircloth; Fallon; Gervin-Hawkins; Krause; and Martinez, "Mando".

 

A quorum was present.

 


SB 1630

The chair laid out SB 1630, the companion to HB 3265, as pending business.

 

Representative Martinez, "Mando" offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Gervin-Hawkins moved that SB 1630, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Frullo; Faircloth; Fallon; Gervin-Hawkins; Krause; Martinez, "Mando" (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Bonnen, Dennis (1).

 

HB 4132

 

Representative Martinez, "Mando" moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.

 

The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Faircloth moved that HB 4132, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Frullo; Faircloth; Fallon; Gervin-Hawkins; Krause; Martinez, "Mando" (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).
