Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on August 3, 2017, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 1:49 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cook; Giddings; Craddick; Geren; Guillen; Kuempel; Meyer; and Paddie.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

HJR 31

 

The chair laid out HJR 31 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Paddie moved that HJR 31, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
