R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, April 18, 1999, will indeed be a special day in the
 1-2     lives of our esteemed colleague, the Honorable Juan Solis, and his
 1-3     charming wife, Maria, for on that day they will observe the first
 1-4     birthday of their beloved twins, Juan Francisco Solis IV and
 1-5     Zoraida Araceli Solis; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, The handsome namesake of his father, Juan is
 1-7     affectionately known as "Pakito" and has already proven that he has
 1-8     inherited his father's gift for gab, winning his daddy's heart at
 1-9     the age of 10 months by uttering "Dada" for the first time; and
1-10           WHEREAS, His adorable sister, Araceli, is equally endearing
1-11     and an outspoken "right-to-carry" advocate, having early on
1-12     declared her preference for her parents' tender embrace as her
1-13     favorite mode of transportation rather than having to propel
1-14     herself around the house; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Both brother and sister are upwardly mobile,
1-16     however, as Araceli is pulling herself up to the standing position
1-17     and Pakito has already taken his first steps on the road to
1-18     independence; and
1-19           WHEREAS, In his role as the father of twins, Representative
1-20     Juan Solis has no doubt endured the rigors of many all-night
1-21     sessions in the twins' nursery and his stamina and miraculous
1-22     ability to remain cheerful under trying conditions will undoubtedly
1-23     serve him well in the waning days of his first session as a member
1-24     of this chamber; now, therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-2     Legislature hereby honor Juan Francisco Solis IV and Zoraida
 2-3     Araceli Solis on the joyous occasion of their first birthday and
 2-4     extend heartfelt congratulations to the Honorable Juan Solis and
 2-5     Mrs. Maria Solis on the birth of this dynamic duo; and, be it
 2-6     further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-8     prepared for the twins and for Representative and Mrs. Solis as an
 2-9     expression of highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
