         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 9, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government, met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Heflin, at 8:15 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Puente  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Pickett (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Wohlgemuth now present.)(Representative Pickett  
         now present.) 
          
         At 9:50 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:00 p.m., February 15, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:07 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Heflin. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Luna, Vilma; Pickett; Puente  
                   (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Flores (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
