         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 14, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government, met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Heflin, at 1:05 p.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Pickett;  
                   Puente (5). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met in a joint formal meeting with the Health  
         and Human Services Subcommittee to discuss TANF issues. 
          
         (Representative Junell now present.) 
          
         At 1:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
