         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 26, 2002, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Regulatory met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Pitts, at 8:40 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; Allen; Hamric; West (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives King, Tracy; Moreno, Paul (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 11:30 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., March 5, 2002. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:50 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Pitts. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

         Absent:   Representatives King, Tracy; Moreno, Paul (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.
