         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 2, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Health & Human Services, met  
         in a joint public hearing with the General Government  
         Subcommittee and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Glaze, at 8:10 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Glaze; Coleman; Eiland; Janek; Maxey  
                   (5). 
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:54 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House Floor,  
         February 7, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:45 a.m. and was called to order  
         by Representative Glaze. The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Eiland; Janek (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.
