         in a public hearing and was called to order by the acting chair,  
         Representative Eiland, at 8:15 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Eiland; Janek; Maxey (3). 
         Absent:   Representatives Glaze; Coleman (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:46 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House Floor,  
         February 13, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:32 a.m. and was called to order  
         by Representative Eiland. The roll was answered as follows:
