Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16,
2001, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative
Bosse, at 12:20 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representatives Janek; Dutton; Nixon, Joe; Smithee
(4).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SCR 1 as pending business.
Representative Hope moved that SCR 1, without amendments, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Bosse; Clark; Hope; Martinez
Fischer; Zbranek (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Janek; Dutton; Nixon, Joe;
Smithee (4).

The chair laid out SB1654 as pending business.
Representative Bosse offered an amendment to the measure.
(Representative Smithee now present.)
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The bill was left pending without objection.
At 12:33 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
