Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and a posted
notice on April 24, 2001, the House Committee on Economic
Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by
the chair, Representative Solis, Jim, at 4:46 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Solis, Jim; Keffer; Clark; Deshotel;
Homer; Luna, Vilma; Seaman; Yarbrough (8).
Absent: Representative McClendon (1).
A quorum was present.

The chair recalled HB 2086 from subcommittee.
Representative Yarbrough offered an amendment to the measure.
The chair recognized Representative Yarbrough to explain the
measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Luna, Vilma moved that HB 2086, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:

Deshotel; Homer; Luna, Vilma; Yarbrough (6).
Nays: Representatives Clark; Seaman (2).

that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
