         11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Education was  
         held on Monday, February 26, 2001, in the Capitol Extension,  
         Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.  The  
         following business was transacted: 
          
         The Committee convened to hear invited testimony on public  
         school employee health insurance. 
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on the issue are shown on  
         the attached list.     
          
         There being no further business, at 12:00 p.m. Senator Bivins  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
