Pursuant to a two hour notice posted on April 5, 2005, the House
Committee on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Hupp, at 3:40 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Hupp; Eissler; Davis, John; Paxton;
Reyna (5).
Absent: Representatives Allen, Alma; Gonzalez Toureilles;
Goodman; Naishtat (4).
A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 6.
Representative Paxton offered a complete committee substitute.
(Representative Goodman now present.)
The chair recognized Representative Hupp to explain the measure.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Davis, John moved that SB 6, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hupp; Eissler; Davis, John;
Allen, Alma; Goodman; Paxton; Reyna (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Gonzalez Toureilles; Naishtat
(2).

The chair laid out HB 920 as pending business.
Representative Eissler offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Uresti to explain the
measure.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Eissler moved that HB 920, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Hupp; Eissler; Davis, John;
Allen, Alma; Goodman; Paxton; Reyna (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Gonzalez Toureilles; Naishtat

At 3:53 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
