The Committee will meet to hear testimony on Interim Committee Charges
#1, #3 and #5 as follow:

#1.Review the scope and extent of governmental immunity in contract
   disputes under the Texas Tort Claims Act and other laws, and determine
   whether there is a need for statutory changes to the process by which
   contract claims against governmental entities are considered.

#3.Study Insurance Code Article 21.55 and determine whether any
   statutory changes are needed to clarify whether this provision applies
   to the reimbursement of defense costs.

#5.Evaluate the libility risk associated with privatization of child
   welfare services and assess the benefit of limiting civil liability for
   noneconomic damages against a non-profit involved in substitute care or
   case management services.
