| The Select Committee on Emergency Preparedness will convene in room 351 of |

| The Committee will hear testimony from invited witnesses with expertise |

| regarding emergency preparedness in major urban and industrial areas. |
|
|
| Testimony will focus on how critical infrastructure entities, law |
|
| enforcement and emergency planners prepare for major industrial accidents |
|
| and homeland security threats relating to transnational criminal |
|
|
|
| In addition, the committee will hear testimony from the Texas Railroad |
|
| Commission and the Texas General Land Office regarding the ongoing |
|
| Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and any potential |
|
|
|
