Pursuant to a notice posted on April 5, 2011, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 9:45 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Branch; Coleman; Cook; Geren; Kolkhorst; Rodriguez, Eddie; Solomons; Truitt; and Zerwas.

 

A quorum was present.


 

Representative Hunter moved to place the following measures: 

 

on the Major State Calendar for Friday, April 8, 2011:  HB 2271, HB 1808.

Pursuant to House Rule 3, Section 5(2), and House Rule 6, Section 16(f), The House Committee on Calendars proposes the following rule governing floor consideration of CSSB 18:

All original amendments to CSSB 18 that will be offered during second reading consideration must be filed with the chief clerk not later than 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 12, 2011.    

 

Representative Hunter moved to adopt the proposed rule for floor consideration on SB 18. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
