Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2011, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting to consider SB 578, SB 1843, and pending business and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 11:56 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gallego; Hartnett; Burkett; Carter; and Zedler.

The chair laid out SB 462.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Hartnett moved that SB 462, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
