Pursuant to a notice posted on February 20, 2013, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 7:36 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pitts; Ashby; Bell; Bonnen, Greg; Carter; Crownover; Darby; Davis, Sarah; Howard; King, Susan; Longoria; Muñoz, Jr.; Orr; Otto; Patrick, Diane; Perry; Price; Raney; and Ratliff.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The Department of Agriculture

 

The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the Department of Agriculture.

The Committee heard testimony from the Legislative Budget Board.

 

(Representative Márquez now present.)

 

Representative Raney moved the adoption of subcommittee recommendations for the Department of Agriculture.

 

The motion was adopted without objection.

 

The Animal Health Commission

 

The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the Animal Health Commission.

 

The Committee heard testimony from the Legislative Budget Board.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
