The chair called the meeting to order at 8:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The Chair made opening remarks and introduced committee staff. The Chair then recognized the other members of the committee to make opening remarks and introduce their staff.
Senator Nelson moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
The chair laid out SB 14 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 500 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 501 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 502 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 503 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 504 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
The chair laid out SB 505 and recognized the author, Senator Taylor, Van, to explain the bill.
Witnesses testifying and registering on Senate bills 14, 500, 501, 502, 503, 504, and 505 are shown on the attached list.
The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 9:01 AM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
