Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24, 2019, and permission granted on April 24, 2019, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on House Administration met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Geren, at 11:02 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Geren; Howard; Anchia; Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Flynn; Ortega; Parker; Sanford; Sherman, Sr.; Thierry; and Thompson, Ed.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 3040 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

SB 281

 

The chair laid out SB 281, the companion to HB 588.

 

The chair explained SB 281.

 

The chair moved that SB 281, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
