Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16, 2019, and permission granted on May 16, 2019, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lucio III, at 1:30 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lucio III; Oliverson; Bonnen, Greg; Davis, Sarah; Johnson, Julie; Lambert; and Turner, Chris.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 1264

 

The chair laid out SB 1264, the Senate companion to HB 3933.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Oliverson moved that SB 1264, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Lucio III; Oliverson; Bonnen, Greg; Davis, Sarah; Johnson, Julie; Lambert; Turner, Chris (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Paul; Vo (2).

 

At 1:32 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
