Pursuant to a notice posted on May 15, 2019, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Craddick, at 9:41 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Craddick; Muñoz, Jr.; Bell, Cecil; Biedermann; Leman; Minjarez; Stickland; and Thierry.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The chair directed that the May 14, 2019 minutes for the House Committee on Land & Resource Management be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

 

SB 421

 

The chair laid out SB 421 as pending business.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 421, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Craddick; Muñoz, Jr.; Bell, Cecil; Biedermann; Leman; Minjarez; Stickland; Thierry (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Canales (1).

 

At 9:49 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
