Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Mass Violence Prevention & Community Safety, Select was held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair made opening remarks and recognized other members of the committee to make opening statements.

 

Senator Zaffirini moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair called the following panels to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

 

There being no further business, at 2:18 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
