Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Nominations was held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Senator Buckingham's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 4:50 p.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Hall moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on Thursday, April 25, 2019; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Hall moved that the committee vote to approve the nominations of the individuals to the following entities: Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, Governing Board of the Texas School for the Deaf, State Securities Board, Texas County and District Retirement System Board of Trustees, Texas Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, Texas Forensic Science Commission, Texas Health Services Authority Board of Directors, Texas Public Finance Authority, Texas Racing Commission, Texas School Safety Center Board, Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.

 

 

 

There being no further business, at 4:52 p.m., Senator Seliger moved that the committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
