Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Monday, May 13, 2019, in the Senate Chamber.

Senator Charles Perry, the acting chair, called the meeting to order at 12:51 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business CSSB 2091.

 

The chair withdrew the old committee substitute that was laid out during the May 7th hearing.

Senator Buckingham sent up the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 2091 and the chair

explained the new committee substitute.

 

Senator Buckingham moved the adoption of the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 2091; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Buckingham moved that SB 2091 do not pass but that CSSB 2091 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 5 ayes, 1 nays, 0 present not voting, and 3 absent.

 

There being no further business, at 12:53 PM Senator Flores moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
