Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called:

Senator Borris Miles

 

The Chair called invited witnesses to testify on Interim Charges related to Vaping and Senate Bill 21 implementation. Witnesses testifying and registering on the charges are shown on the attached list.

 

The Chair called invited witnesses to testify on Interim Charges related to Health Care Costs. Witnesses testifying and registering on the charges are shown on the attached list.

 

 

At 12:56 PM Senator Powell assumed the chair.

 

At 1:16 PM Senator Kolkhorst resumed the chair.

 

Public testimony was taken on all charges. Witnesses testifying and registering on the charges are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 3:55 PM Senator Kolkhorst moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
