Pursuant to a notice posted on April 17, 2025, and permission granted on April 22, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Guillen, at 3:04 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Guillen; Guerra; Cain; Hopper; Kitzman; Lopez, Janie; McLaughlin; Money; and Muņoz.

The chair laid out HB 5085.

 

The chair recognized Representative Gervin-Hawkins to explain HB 5085.

The chair recognized Representative Gervin-Hawkins to close on HB 5085.

 

Representative Lopez, Janie moved that HB 5085, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
