Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 15, 2025, and permission granted on May 15, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Harless, at 2:30 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Harless; Allen; Lowe; Lozano; and Wharton.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 663 as pending business.

The chair moved that SB 663, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Harless; Allen; Lowe; Lozano; Wharton (5).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Jones, Venton; Harrison; Meza; Schatzline (4).

At 2:32 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
