Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2025, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Shaheen, at 4:46 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Isaac; Plesa; Raymond; Swanson; Toth; and Wilson.

A quorum was present.

SB 2681

The chair laid out SB 2681, the companion to HB 5362.

The chair moved that SB 2681, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Shaheen; Isaac; Raymond; Swanson; Toth; Wilson (6).

Nays:                           Representatives Bucy; Plesa (2).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representative Morales Shaw (1).

SB 618

The chair laid out SB 618, the companion to HB 2773.

The chair moved that SB 618, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out SB 505 as pending business.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that SB 505, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
