Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 30, 2025, and permission granted on April 30, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Leach, at 5:17 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Leach; Johnson; Dutton; Dyson; Flores; González, Jessica; Hayes; LaHood; Landgraf; Moody; and Schofield.

A quorum was present.

SB 29

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which SB 29 was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

Representative Landgraf offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative LaHood moved that SB 29, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Leach; Johnson; Dutton; Dyson; Flores; González, Jessica; Hayes; LaHood; Landgraf; Moody; Schofield (11).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        None (0).

At 5:19 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
